Full-time
3+ years in gamedev as a Tech Artist
Responsibilities:
- Profile and optimize game performance using tools like Unity Profiler, Unreal Insights, or proprietary engines.
- Streamline art content: LODs, materials, collisions, and lighting to hit target framerates.
- Document and translate project workflows for global teams.
- Lead by feedback: assign tasks, track deadlines, and mentor artists on optimization best practices.
- Automate the grind: script tools (Python) to speed up repetitive tasks.
- Troubleshoot: collaborate with QA and artists to fix engine quirks and visual bugs.
- Report and innovate: analyze performance data and propose cutting-edge solutions.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in gamedev as a Technical Artist or similar.
- Tool mastery: 3ds Max/Maya/Blender + Unity/Unreal (or proprietary engines).
- Knowledge of programming languages — Python
- Familiarity with SQL, Django, and Linux
- English (B1+) for comfortable with docs, meetings, and cross-team collaboration
Desirable Skills:
- Scripting (Python) and version control (Git/Perforce).
- Jira/Confluence experience.
- Shipped titles (especially AAA).
- Engine profilers (RenderDoc, PIX, etc.).
- Lighting optimization chops.
